Mom, below, is satirized by an artist friend, Peter W. Harvey, for
painting each door in a London flat in the mid-1950s a different strong color, considered outrageous for the time. The gold picture rails, I believe, were trendy, but not the colors.
Recently, when visiting daughter Sarah, on the right, I found her painting similarly strong colours in her daughter's room (chosen by 11 year old Tina). No pinks or yellows for her anymore!
