Leaving Long Beach last Sunday, a silvery moon in the east, as the train crossed the Bay to Island Park
(My friend, Brenda, was inspired to write a poem for this photograph. See LILAC LULLABY)
Then heading west for New York City, into the sunset
Reflections, too, and alarmingly, a warped looking railway line! So many revelations in a photograph, seen after the fact. No doubt, a bent window effect!

The journey is uneventful, except for the splendour of the evening sky, and the photo below, enlarged, shows NYC skyscrapers on the horizon.
That is my SKYWATCH for this week, Silvia and company
Lovely shots. When I look at the 'lilac' sunset I feel a poem coming on! Ouch! I told you I was easily triggered didn't I!
ReplyDeleteThese are gorgeous shots! I'm so glad I was finally able to see them! The colors are truly lovely, fragile and breathtaking.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the email! I had tried to access your site through Mr. Linky but couldn't. Glad you found out what the problem was!
Very beautiful and gentle skywatch shots.
