FARMERS' MARKET CHALLENGE - SATURDAY JULY 25




To find out how to participate in SQUIRRELQUEEN'S FARMERS' MARKET PHOTO CHALLENGE ON SATURDAY JULY 25th, go to her blog! By taking photographs of what is available in your neck of the woods it is hoped to increase an interest in market days and what can be purchased.


Here, in New York City, my nearest farmers' market is at Union Square. Here in one corner of the square, Ghandi looks benevolently upon the scene on each occasion, rain or shine; the farmers themselves show up, rain or shine, and the place is mobbed on Saturdays. See you on Saturday with my chosen topic.

    I would love to visit a market that is presided over by Ghandi! What a wonderful daily reminder to choose the peaceful path!

    It certainly looks very green, lush and uncitified! I love markets. Ours is called the Olive Tree Market, but it's mostly handicrafts. The Showground has a huge Farmers Market every Saturday but I have yet to visit it.

    Margaret, that is a very nice photo. Ghandi looks very much at home amid the greenery.

JANUS - looking backwards and forwards is a Janus trait - for me a way to record the "in between thought", whether in retrospect, or as a notion for the future. I make original prints, currently etchings. I sometimes write and take photographs. I am inspired by what I see and read. Although postings are chronologically recorded by date and time in this protocol, the images exhibited, often seen in different stages of production, are from another time.
